HTN 180 Px - Extra Strength

HTN 180 Px Extra Strength (ES) is an Organic Certified balanced botanical formula that supports maintaining healthy blood pressure that is already within normal range.* It rapidly triggers blood vessel relaxation and optimal coronary blood flow to optimize cardiovascular function.*

This formula uses the environmentally friendly and sustainably-sourced Rauwolfia vomitoria (African snake root) as an alternative to the more common Rauwolfia serpentina (Indian snake root, which is endangered and illegal to export).

Rauwolfia naturally contains a potent alkaloid compound that quickly activates the central nervous system to support normal blood vessel resistance.* Its supporting actions on blood vessel relaxation and coronary flow can help optimize cardiovascular function.* The resulting clinical benefits explain why HTN 180 Px ES is our top-selling formula. Unlike other rauwolfia products, HTN 180 Px ES does not require toxic solvents such as chlorohexane, phthalates, and toluene to concentrate the alkaloid content. Instead, the plant is harvested when it is at peak potency, avoiding the need for extraction to concentrate the levels. Restorative Formulations uses HPLC MS, an expensive but highly accurate testing method, on both raw materials and finished products to ensure consistency in the levels of this alkaloid from batch to batch.

HTN 180 Px Extra Strength (ES) formula contains approximately 8x more snake root than HTN Px, the original formula.

Vitexin, a naturally occurring compound in Hawthorn, is a polyphenol that promotes healthy production of cytokines for a normal inflammatory response.* Hawthorn enhances myocardial contractility via dilated coronary arteries and increased blood flow.*

We source Hawthorn leaf and flowers from the South of France because they have the highest levels of naturally occurring vitexin when harvested at just the right time. As a result, we can use the whole herb (leaf and flower), without needing solvents to extract vitexin.

Caution: Be sure to monitor the patient’s blood pressure, as it can be fast-acting and become too low. The dosage can be adjusted accordingly, particularly if hypertensive drugs are being used concomitantly.
